Requirements
3 Angels Children & Family Services, Inc. is dedicated to providing therapeutic intervention within the optimal environment for change. 3 Angels Children & Family Services provides extensive support and ongoing training to foster parents so that together they may provide treatment for the children. Foster parents most suited to provide the highest level of care are recruited for certification by our agency. Foster parents are recruited through word of mouth, advertising, flyers, person-to-person recruiting, and walk-ins. All prospective foster parents are required to complete an application process.
All adults who are living in the home (18 years and older) and the babysitter must be fingerprinted and cleared. The process of this clearance will take approximately 4 - 8 weeks.
The initial application process requires:
Completion of an Application, Home Study, Live Scan of fingerprints which includes Child Abuse Index, FBI and Department of Justice Clearances, Criminal Record Statement for all adults living in the home (18 years and older). This process will take approximately 4 - 8 weeks.
Current Medical Examination (to verify that there are no physical conditions which may impede the ability to be a foster parent)

Copy of Social Security Card
Copy of Current Drivers License and Auto Insurance
Copy of First Aid/CPR
Emergency Disaster Plan
Facility Sketch
Budget Report
Completion of a Pre-certification Visit where additional documentation in accordance with Title 22 regulations is completed.
Prospective foster parents are also required to complete a FREE fifteen (15) hours of PRIDE training prior to certification. The topics will include: Foster Parent Responsibilities, Medical, Developmental and Psychological Issues on Children, understanding the signs of appropriate and inappropriate attachment, interventions strategies and Licensing Regulations.
Upon completion of all required documentation the physical plant of foster homes is evaluated and a home safety checklist is completed. The physical plant must meet the requirements set forth by Title 22 regulations.
The agency social worker will support the foster parents in completing requirements that are required for their yearly re-certification. The agency will provide ongoing trainings for certified foster homes to maintain the highest quality of service.
